Release notes

7.12.0November 2026
  • Rebuilt 3D: real shadows, reflections on a glossy stage floor, pleated velvet drapes (light follows the folds and the velvet absorbs it), lens flare, coloured haze in the air and a dark auditorium.
  • Light falling off the stage no longer stops in mid-air; it lands on the auditorium floor and the seats.
  • Sharper, steadier gobos.
  • Control panel: drag it anywhere, now see-through; new Color / Gobo section (color, gobo, zoom, frost, prism).
  • Drag the split-screen divider to set how much of the plot and the view you see (double-tap: half and half).
  • Shorter Scene menu; menus over the 3D view are see-through.
  • The online library connects more reliably on mobile networks.
  • Language choice on first launch (Türkçe / English); not asked again.
7.11.0November 2026
  • New 3D look: moving haze inside the beams, bloom on lenses and bright spots, and a stronger hot spot at the lens.
  • The Scene menu has new Bloom and Moving haze switches.
  • Side view: the title and the Sightlines switch no longer overlap, and an untranslated part of the English title is fixed.
7.10.5November 2026
  • Support address is now lampoff.info@gmail.com.
  • Android: minimum version is now Android 7.0; Google Play package ready.
7.10.4November 2026
  • Smoother split screen: 3D rebuilds only the fixtures that changed (about 8× faster while dragging), and panning or zooming the plot no longer redraws the 3D view.
7.10.3November 2026
  • With the house light at zero the 3D stage goes fully dark; truss, deck and curtains show only where fixtures hit them. “Dark” is now true black.
7.10.2November 2026
  • The 3D Control button and Pan / Tilt joystick now work on Android and iPhone.
  • The Live tool, which does nothing on phones, is removed from the phone menu.
7.10.1November 2026
  • In the side view the last-row sightline is drawn correctly when the eye is below the border.
7.10.0November 2026
  • Sightlines: borders and the eye lines of row 1 and the last row in the side view; a pipe the audience can see is marked with ⚠. Row distances, eye heights and border trim in Project › Info.
  • Revisions: save the current state of the plot and compare it with a saved revision or with a file from your assistant; changes can be selected on the plot.
  • Two-way MVR: focus points, gel colour, gobo, channel, unit number, dimmer address and tower heights; Vectorworks’ nested groups open in the right place, and towers and booms are rebuilt as towers.
7.9.0November 2026
  • Photometrics: throw distance, beam diameter at focus and approximate lux in the fixture panel, tooltip and 3D focus card.
  • Instrument schedule and magic sheet added to the rider; the pipe table now shows load (kg) and power per pipe and the total hung load.
  • Weight (kg) and Accessories (barn doors, top hat, iris…) in the fixture panel; pipe load in the pipe panel.
  • Revision field in the project info, printed at the foot of every PDF page.
  • Sample rider PDF, paperwork list and new FAQ entries on the website.
7.8.3November 2026
  • Manual focus dragging in 3D is gone; ◎ Gather aims all selected fixtures at the point you tap in 3D (stage, curtain, scenery).
7.8.2November 2026
  • Control is now just a small Pan / Tilt joystick; it no longer switches to Live mode or covers the view.
  • Pan 540° and tilt 270° on every fixture: aim at the backdrop, ceiling or scenery; beams stop on the surface they hit at the right angle.
  • A pool that landed on a curtain can be grabbed and dragged back onto the stage.
  • The house now has a ceiling, so fixtures aimed up show on it.
7.8.1November 2026
  • Pan / Tilt joystick in 3D: a collapsible section in the Control panel; push to turn the fixture, let go to stop, with a fine mode.
  • Beams stop where they hit a curtain, scenery or a performer; the light pool lands on that surface at the right angle.
  • The Control panel lights only the selected fixtures, so solo view is kept.
  • Scene and Camera menus no longer run off the phone screen.
  • The view cube is gone from 3D; directions come from the Camera menu.
  • A dragged focus stays within the stage area instead of slipping behind the backdrop.
7.8.0November 2026
  • Rebuilt 3D: reflective metal truss, cinematic tone mapping, elliptical light pools for angled beams; many fixtures no longer wash the stage out to white.
  • Camera menu: House centre, From stage to house, Diagonal, Top, sides; save your own viewpoints; double-tap to fly to an object.
  • Scene panel: house light (Dark / Show / Work), haze density, stage floor (wood, black marley, grey), legs and borders, cyclorama, Fast / Quality rendering.
  • Drag a light pool in 3D to focus; several fixtures move together and pan and tilt are calculated.
  • Performer figure: place it on stage and drag it in 3D.
  • Presentation mode: full screen without controls and high-resolution image export.
  • Cleaner 3D screen: the warning text became a ⚠ icon, Pan/Tilt labels are optional; booms have a base plate and side arms.
7.7.0November 2026
  • A simpler phone interface: seven toolbar buttons (Select, Fixture, Pipe, Scenery, Measure, Focus, Other); the remaining tools open in a grid from the bottom.
  • Shortcuts and Layers share one button as two tabs. The zoom box is hidden by default on phones; floating buttons fade while panning.
  • Notices at the top and short; delete actions carry an Undo button.
  • Zoomed out the plot shows channel numbers only; zooming in adds unit, address and gel. Unselected fixtures dim, with a short pulse on selection.
  • Selection bar: Properties, Pipe, Duplicate, Focus, Delete and ⋯ More.
  • The 3D focus card starts as a thin strip on phones and expands on tap.
  • Dark palette cards in the dark theme; orange reserved for selection and primary actions.
  • Dimmers now take a universe; dimmer and DMX address clashes show in the Conflicting list.
  • In perspective, tapping empty space clears the selection; the focus point drags into place and tower fixtures move up and down.
7.6.9November 2026
  • In the default layout the selection bar sits at the bottom with the view cube and its buttons above it, no overlap.
  • My layout: resize the selection bar, zoom and view cube with − / +.
  • The “Done” bar shown while placing fixtures stays above the tool boxes.
7.6.8November 2026
  • On phones, short labels under the toolbar, box, top bar, layer/shortcut and 3D buttons.
  • My layout: drag the selection bar, zoom and view cube into place in Edit mode; “Reset bars”.
  • The selection bar no longer overlaps the cube buttons or the Edit button.
7.6.7November 2026
  • Editing in perspective: pipes as box truss, fixtures with plot symbols; drag fixtures and pipes to move them, double tap for properties, add fixtures from the palette to a pipe or tower.
  • My layout: sheets, layers, shortcuts and menus open above the boxes, which hide while they are open.
7.6.6November 2026
  • Pipe type: truss or pipe; upright towers as truss or floor-standing boom. Plot, views and 3D follow the type.
  • Add fixtures by tapping a tower or pipe in front and side views; unhung fixtures stand on a floor stand in 3D.
  • New conventional symbols: Source Four-style profile, fresnel and PC with barndoors, PAR 64, follow spot.
  • Tap the gap between fixtures to select the pipe; a “Pipe” button on the selected fixture’s bar.
  • Lock and warning marks stay on top; in My layout the shortcut and layer buttons can go into boxes.
  • In perspective the cube gives preset angles; the camera angle menu in 3D was removed.
  • A single version number under About; guide updated.
7.6.5November 2026
  • 3D wooden stage floor, velvet masking and legs, raked audience seating; moving heads with rounded heads and yokes.
  • Pan/Tilt label and focus target marker for the selected fixture; perspective and ortho cameras.
  • “Focus page” card in 3D: target, Pan/Tilt and note, one tap to the focus page.
  • Auto focus: selected fixtures aim at a single point.
  • Shortcuts: frequently used fixtures and pipes on the drawing page; “Add to shortcuts”.
  • Fixtures seat on upright towers and full pipes; larger snap distance when zoomed out.
  • Objects no longer move during two-finger zoom.
  • Copied locked objects arrive unlocked; selecting a locked object no longer opens the bottom sheet.
  • New fixtures start with an empty unit number; “Profile (ERS)” renamed “Profile”; neighbouring notes no longer overlap.
7.6.4November 2026
  • In 3D, pipes and upright towers are drawn as real square box truss, with base and top plates on towers.
  • Front and side views show fixtures with the same symbols as the plot, aimed at their focus, with channel numbers and labels.
7.6.3November 2026
  • The view cube controls the camera in 3D: tapping a face looks from the top, front or side; dragging the cube orbits the 3D stage.
  • A “2D” button returns from the 3D view to the plot.
  • My layout: an “Edit” button and edit mode; tools and the plot stay locked while editing.
7.6.2November 2026
  • The view cube is larger and can be rotated by dragging; every face can be tapped.
  • Horizontal and vertical layout for tool boxes.
  • Fixed sideways overflow on phones with long project names.
7.6.1November 2026
  • The app is now called LampOff; projects and settings from earlier versions move over automatically.

  • Illustrated A–Z user guide, in the app and as a PDF.
  • View cube; x, y, z editing in front and side views.
  • Upright towers and pipes at any angle.
  • Grouped context menu; manual dimension values.
  • My layout: free-floating tool boxes; layout settings.
